Communications Director (Full Time)
Position Summary: The Communications Director is a senior-level role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications strategies to advance the work of COLOR and COLOR Action Fund. Key duties include leading media relations, creating strategic content, managing branding efforts, and crafting press materials. The position involves guiding internal communications, supporting policy and organizing initiatives, mentoring communications staff, and collaborating with leadership to enhance public engagement and visibility. Additionally, the director oversees messaging for rapid response efforts, supervises communications personnel, and represents the organization in key partnerships and coalitions.
Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of experience in media, communications, and messaging strategy, with strong writing skills and fluency in both written and spoken Spanish. They should demonstrate the ability to supervise personnel across leadership levels and possess a deep understanding of political narratives and C4 contexts.
Compensation: This full-time position has a salary range of $95,000 – $105,000, based on candidate experience. The benefits package includes paid vacation, health time, holidays, and paid health insurance,
dental, disability, and life insurance with annual stipends for self-care and community care,
professional development funds, and monthly cell phone/internet stipends. After three months of
employment, staff are eligible for a 3% employer contribution to a SIMPLE IRA.

Community Organizer (Full Time)
Position Summary: The Community Organizer role is a full-time, exempt position based in Denver, CO. It reports to the vice president of Political Affairs and is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with target communities, supporting grassroots organizing projects, and providing workshops and training at the intersection of Organizing, Policy, and Reproductive Justice.
Candidates must have at least 1-2 years of organizing and outreach experience and demonstrate a commitment to COLOR’s vision, mission, and programs. Ideal candidates are highly organized, responsive, and take initiative—ability to work evening hours and sometimes weekends.
To organize a strong base of reproductive justice supporters by educating and engaging the Latine communities across Colorado in the work of COLOR. To assist with developing and implementing the COLOR organizing plan to ensure that our target community is involved and active in the discussions about reproductive justice policies and news that affect our families. These topics include, but are not limited to, comprehensive sexuality education, contraception access, access to abortion, racism, and discrimination within health care providers, etc. This position requires a flexible schedule. This position focuses on multiple issues, cultivating and fostering relationships, tracking outreach data, and providing intergenerational advocacy and organizing training.
